OP A beautiful blue lupin that can be planted in the cottage garden setting or ideal for a cover crop starter pack. In the first season grow as a seed crop to expand numbers for cover crop use. Lupins are in the legume family and feed the soil nitrogen extracted from the air! An all round great garden plant.
For ornamental growing sow in early Spring or early Autumn in trays and prick out to 4cm spacing. Transplant into garden when true leaves emerge and a good root system develops. For cover crop broadcast sow over bed. Rake in and keep bed moist to aid germination. Chop all plant material into bed just before the lupin flowers.
