OP This is an early commercial variety introduced in Germany by Paul Tellhelm in 1950. First made available in the USA in 1960 under the name Jung’s Sugar Lump. This delicious cherry tomato is famous for its extreme sweet flavour backed up by real tomato taste. The vigorous vines can be trellised like grapes and are also suitable for truss harvest. Annual, indeterminate, height to 1m, frost tender.
Sow in August into trays in a glasshouse. Keep soil temp at 18-20°C for ideal germination. Prick out when true leaves appear to 4cm diagonal spacing. Pot on to small pots to further develop roots. Transplant after last frost to 40cm diagonal spacing into fertile ground in direct sun. Stake and de-lateral as needed.
