β Gift Vouchers & Our Solstice Gift πto YOU!
Posted on
As another calendar year draws to a close, the garden year is ramping up into full steam ahead! We have harvested our early garlics!!!!! Watch this space, they will be available in the New Year, and they look fab. We are still dashing about at the transplant hour to make sure all the little seedlings get in the ground! Will we ever be on schedule!? This year we have some amazing help, so if it were not for mine and Roddy’s over-zealous springtime planning, we might truly be on top of our game! But gardeners seem to have a rap for always wanting to plant more PLANTS!
If you have a gardener in your family, consider giving the gift of seeds this year. And seed packets make great stocking stuffers too! Not sure what seeds to give, we’ve got you covered with Gift Vouchers, starting at $25.00, you can choose the amount that suits your budget. π Best thing about print your own PDF Gift vouchers is you either don’t have to print it (save the trees) or you can save on shipping fees and time for those last-minute gifts.
We still have a few gift cards made by my darling mother. She has painted these creations taking inspiration from our gardens, they make great gift cards all year, or at this time of gift giving. She has just arrived back in the country, so can’t wait to see what she creates this year!
β And on the topic of gifts, our gift to you all is a 10% discount on all orders from now until Summer Solstice! Use code solstice10 at checkout. This is our way of spreading the cheer at this time of year.β
Our last day for shipping orders is December 20th, as NZ Post can only guarantee arrival before Christmas by then. So please take this into account when placing your order and choosing your payment method. We will also be taking a break (in the office) over the holiday season. We will close down from December 21st 2023 – January 8th 2024. All orders received over this period, will be dispatched in the order they are received in, once we reopen our offices. We appreciate your understanding that as a small family business, we need to take breaks now and again.
Remember January is around the corner and from the 2nd half I recommend getting your winter seedlings underway! Crazy right!? But if you want broccoli, healthy kale, Chi Hi Li, Broccoli Raab, root crops, Orach, silverbeet, lettuces and other greens you need to get them growing in summer. So, consider stocking up on your winter garden seeds now, or early in the new year to make sure your organised. π
We want to say a big thank you to all those who helped us this year, it has been a big one! Thank you for your donations, kind emails, and offers of help. We truly and deeply appreciate it.π And we are so grateful to our growing garden team! Kiersten-Anna now in her third season with us keeps so many aspects of our wee business humming. Our dear neighbours we met through the cyclone experience, have now joined in the garden crew two days a week! Daniela and her son Issac head out to the garden while her daughter Ayla helps with River so I can get a bit more time in the potting shed! We have also had a fab wwoofer family here this spring too, so thank you to Stella and Arek for your efforts, especially in our isolation seed gardens! Yes, we have 3 separate gardens in total now! And, of course Roddy, who holds so many balls in the air and our daughter River who asked for her own garden this year, and has been helping with the watering. π Without sounding like a broken record, teamwork makes the dream work! π
β Solstice Blessings and Peace to you all and all those on this planet we call home. And Season Greetings from all of us at Setha’s Seeds! β
