Introducing our Autumn Intern, Maddie Stonehouse.

Maddie arrived back in February just before the cyclone, and she had to shoot home to Gisborne the weekend before the storm arrived. We thought she might get stuck at home for a day or two not knowing the storm would still leave SH2 blocked to the north. Maddie showed her dedication to the cause and drove the long way round to get back to her internship when the road became open to residents.

  

We are so glad she made the long journey to arrive the second time as this wet season has left much to do in the garden. She is learning lots about compost making, seed harvesting and processing and how to power through all the lawns with our electric lawn mower!
